MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that 47,449 candidates successfully passed the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) held nationwide on August 11, 2024.
Of the total 296,758 examinees, 42,812 individuals, representing 14.43 percent, passed the CSE Professional Level. Additionally, 4,637 candidates, or 14.18 percent of the 32,707 examinees, achieved a passing score in the CSE Subprofessional Level.
Regionally, the National Capital Region (NCR) achieved the highest passing rate at 18.96 percent, with 8,242 successful examinees out of 43,478 participants. The complete List of Passers is accessible via the Examination Results widget on the CSC website or through the CSC Examination Portal. Examinees, regardless of their results, can generate their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System until October 27, 2024. The CSC has clarified that no rating reports will be mailed or emailed to candidates.
Passers can claim their Certificate of Eligibility (CoE), printed on CSC letterhead and issued free of charge, starting November 20, 2024, at the CSC Regional Office (RO) or Field Office (FO) where they took the exam. Candidates are advised to confirm the availability of their CoE before visiting the office.
To claim the CoE, passers must present valid identification, which can include a Driver’s License, Passport, or any government-issued ID with a clear photo and name.
Additionally, passers may request a Certification of Eligibility printed on security paper for a fee, available at any of the 16 CSC ROs nationwide starting November 20, 2024. Interested candidates should verify the availability of this service and specific documentation requirements with the relevant CSC office beforehand.
The CSC emphasized that those who passed the CSE Professional Level will receive the Career Service Professional Eligibility, necessary for appointments to first and second level government positions requiring at least four years of college education. Conversely, the CSE Subprofessional Level Eligibility is suitable for first level positions that require less than four years of college studies.
It is important to note that, in addition to passing the CSE-PPT, candidates must meet education, experience, training, and other competency requirements to qualify for government service positions. (GLG/PIA-NCR)
