MANILA, (PIA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has implemented digital enhancements to three of its most in-demand services as the agency prepares to celebrate the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) in September.
CSC Chairperson Atty. Karlo Alexi Nograles announced the improvements during a media briefing on Thursday at the Philippine Information Agency in Quezon City. The three services that have been digitally transformed are the issuance of certificates of eligibility, appointments processing, and exam administration.

The Civil Service Eligibility Verification System (CSEVS) is an electronic database that allows government human resource offices to directly verify an applicant’s eligibility. This eliminates the need for authentication and reduces processing time for both the agency and the applicant.
Another key enhancement is the Online Appointment Processing System (OAPS), which aims to simplify the submission of appointments by government offices directly to CSC offices, reducing paperwork and processing times. The OAPS is currently undergoing pilot implementation with selected agencies.
Lastly, the CSC has upgraded its Computerized Examinations (COMEX) system, now called the CSC Digital Examinations (CSDEX). This unified system integrates all previous standalone examinations, streamlining the process from exam administration to the release of results.
“Let us embrace change and take this opportune time of transition to digital transformation with optimism and determination, knowing that the future of governance is ours to shape,” Nograles said.
“Together, we can pave the way for a civil service that is dynamic, inclusive, and dedicated to the well-being of every Filipino,” he added. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
