QUEZON CITY (PIA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that they will be implementing fees for courier delivery of CSC records and documents.
This decision is in line with CSC Resolution No. 2200662, aimed at ensuring efficient and secure delivery of requested documents by procuring the services of a reliable courier company.
In the past, the CSC relied on prepaid courier service pouches to deliver their documents. However, to continue the delivery of its frontline services despite community restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the advancement of technology and the need for a more streamlined process, the CSC has decided to shift to online requests through the Online Registration, Appointment, and Scheduling System (ORAS). This shift not only reduces the reliance on physical pouches but also allows for a more convenient and accessible way for individuals to request and receive their CSC records.
Under the new resolution, the fees for courier delivery will vary based on geographical regions. For the National Capital Region, the fee will be P160. For Luzon, the fee will be P185. For Visayas and Mindanao, the fee will be P205. Lastly, for island cities or municipalities, the fee will be P215. These fees have been carefully determined to ensure that the courier services provided are efficient and cost-effective.
The implementation of these fees will not only enhance the delivery process but also contribute to the overall improvement of the CSC’s services. By procuring the services of a dedicated courier company, the CSC can guarantee the safe and timely delivery of important documents to their clients. This is particularly crucial for individuals who need their CSC records for various purposes, such as employment applications, promotions, or other administrative matters.
It is important to note that CSC Resolution No. 2200662 will be effective from 22 August 2023, 15 days after its publication on a national newspaper. This gives individuals ample time to familiarize themselves with the new process and prepare for the associated fees. The CSC will also provide clear guidelines and instructions on how to request documents through the ORAS system and make the necessary payment for courier delivery.
This implementation of fees for courier delivery of CSC records and documents is a step towards enhancing the efficiency and security of the delivery process. By embracing technology and partnering with a reliable courier company, the CSC aims to provide a more seamless experience for individuals who require their CSC records. This move not only aligns with the digital transformation efforts of the Marcos administration but also reflects the CSC’s commitment to continuous improvement in their services. (CSC / PIA-NCR)
