TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) – – The Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) recently inaugurated its newly renovated Cutting-Edge Operating Complex, aimed at boosting surgical efficiency and enhancing healthcare services in the Cagayan Valley.
Medical Center Chief Dr. Cherry Lou Antonio said the new operating complex represents a significant advancement in surgical precision and patient care at the state hospital.
“This state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide safe, holistic preoperative care and support the professional development of operating room nurses, preparing them to be globally competitive healthcare providers,” she explained.
The new OR Complex features six advanced operating rooms, each equipped with the latest technology to streamline procedures and improve outcomes.
Two of these rooms include cutting-edge camera light systems, which enhance visibility during surgery, while all rooms are fitted with sensor-controlled doors to optimize infection control and workflow efficiency.
Additionally, the complex is supported by a sophisticated data archiving system and a dedicated paging system, which improve communication among surgical teams.
CVMC has also invested in new OR tables, suction machines, anesthesia machines, and lighting systems, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to operational excellence and patient safety.
As a third-level hospital in the Cagayan Valley Region, CVMC is recognized as a center of excellence in patient care, training, and research. It serves not only patients from the region but also those from nearby Cordillera towns.
