CAMIGUIN (PIA)–As part of their Comprehensive Water Meter Replacement Program and commitment to uphold the highest quality standards in their services, the Camiguin Water Company partnered with Aqua Jet for the water meter calibration.
To further solidify the accuracy of these meters, a rigorous batch testing regimen was administered by Manila Water’s Metrology Center (MWMC), an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. MWMC meticulously adheres to the ISO 4064 Test Methods, a globally recognized benchmark for water meter accuracy.
The PNS ISO/IEC 17025 certification, which is specially designated for testing and calibration laboratories, signifies that CWC’s laboratory operations meet the pinnacle of competence and precision, ensuring accurate water meter readings.
In a meeting with Arturieto Ramigoso, BOD chair, and Camiguin Integrated Water Service Cooperative (CIWASCO) OIC System Manager Engr. Elmer Martinez, CWC General Manager Jonathan Sarsonas said, “With these steps, CWC could assure our valued customers that their meters are accurate because they have been put through a series of rigorous tests and calibrations against international standards.”
He added that a calibrated water meter is a key tool for efficient water management, accurate billing, immediate leak detection, conservation efforts, and overall sustainable development. This will make sure that water resources are used effectively, fairly, and responsibly in all sectors and applications.
