DA-PRDP Scale-up road project to benefit 3 villages in Ifugao

Provincial and municipal officials lead the groundbreaking of the more than P224 million Pula-Cawayan-Camandag Farm to Market Road (FMR) improvement project under the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Scale-up program.

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) — Farmers of Asipulo town will soon transport their agricultural products to the market with ease while residents will have easy access to government services and facilities with the improvement of the Pula-Cawayan-Camandag Farm to Market Road (FMR) with bridge project.

Ifugao officials led by Governor Jerry Dalipog and Asipulo Mayor Archie Quindo and officials from the Department of Agriculture -Cordillera led the groundbreaking of the P244 million-worth road improvement on September 9, 2024. This project is under the DA – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Scale-up with the Provincial Engineering Office as the implementing agency.

Spanning 6.02 kilometers with a 30-linear meter bridge, it is targeted to benefit 1,493 households in the area. Pula Punong Barangay Marlon Dallig enjoined residents of the three beneficiary villages to work together for the successful implementation of the project.

“Let-us help each other for the success of this project that will benefit all of us. We would like also to extend our deepest gratitude to all agencies who helped in making this dream project into reality. Sama-sama tayong magtulungan para sa Bagong Pilipinas,” Dallig stated.

Towards the successful implementation of the project, the Project Support Office North Luzon and the Regional Project Coordination Office-CAR conducted pre-construction conference for all stakeholders to familiarize them with the guidelines, requirements, and processes of the DA-PRDP Scale-Up as well as the project monitoring tool.
