BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Region 2 has distributed electronic land titles to farmer-beneficiaries in Nueva Vizcaya.
The 25 e-titles were given to its Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) through its Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project.
The land titles cover a total of 34.2520 hectares that benefit ARBs from the municipalities of Aritao, Sta. Fe, Dupax del Sur, and Dupax del Norte.
DAR Regional Director Primo Lara said the awarding of the e-titles in the province is part of a simultaneous distribution across the Cagayan Valley region.
“We are continuously distributing e-titles to ARBs to ensure that you have full ownership and control over the awarded lands,” he said.
Lara also encouraged the farmers to maximize the potential of their lands by engaging in productive farming activities which aligns with DAR’s goal of empowering farmer-beneficiaries to become self-reliant agricultural producers.
He also appealed to farmers in the province to join the DAR-assisted Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations to access support services from their agency such as farm machinery, equipment, and agricultural inputs to enhance their productivity.
The SPLIT project is an initiative of DAR to subdivide collective Certificates of Land Ownership Award, providing ARBs with clear, legally recognized individual land titles. (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
