BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed electronic land titles and certificates of condonation with mortgage release to farmer-beneficiaries in Nueva Vizcaya.
David Villanueva, Jr., officer-in-charge of the Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Office, said 18 e-titles were awarded to 15 beneficiaries from the municipality of Kasibu, covering a total of 25.9836 hectares of land.
“This is part of the nationwide implementation of the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling project and the New Emancipation Act,” he said.
He also reported that 23 certificates of condonation were issued to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), involving a total land area of 11.2993 hectares, with a total condoned debt amounting to P232,080.56.
Villanueva emphasized that the activity reflects DAR’s continuing commitment to agrarian justice and rural development, particularly through the implementation of Republic Act No. 11953, or the New Emancipation Act.
The law grants debt condonation to ARBs, freeing them from long-standing financial obligations related to their awarded lands.
“The DAR continues to uphold its mission of empowering ARBs by providing secure land tenure, enabling them to cultivate their land with pride and productivity,” he said. (OTB/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
