DAR employees undergo stress management training

DIPOLOG CITY (PIA) — Aiming to combat the stress and burnout of their high-demanding jobs, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) conducted a one-day stress management workshop for its employees in Zamboanga del Norte.

According to Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Rizzel B. Villanueva, it is crucial that their work force, particularly the younger employees, learn how to manage and alleviate their stress levels as it is crucial for maintaining both their health and their personal success.

“Poor health caused by unmanaged stress comes at a price,” he warned.

The training addressed both personal and professional settings, covering a range of topics that included stress and resilience, mindfulness sessions, and effective coping mechanisms for managing diverse stressors.

Participants also engaged in a stress assessment and peer-sharing sessions where they got to discuss and evaluate their stress vulnerabilities and its potential causes.

The event also featured team-building activities where DAR employees got to build camaraderie with their colleagues and strengthen their bonds while taking a break from their routine work duties.

According to DAR-Zamboanga del Norte, these efforts all underscore their commitment to enhancing employee well-being and fostering a healthy and supportive work environment. (EDT/PJF/SQ-OJT/PIA9-Zamboanga del Norte)
