LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA) – – Farm machineries and equipment worth P275,100.00 were turned-over recently to the Tupaya Agrarian Reform Farmers Organization Inc. (TARFOI) in Lagawe town.
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) -Ifugao provided three units of rotavator, two units of water pump, four units of brush cutter, and three units of knapsack sprayer to the organization for the benefits of the members.
TARFOI president William P. Luguibis thanked DAR for the farm machineries and equipment and other assistance provides, which he said were very significant in advancing the organization’s progress.
Tupaya punong barangay Irene G. Hoggang also conveyed her appreciation to the department for bringing such assistance to their barangay.
She enjoined the members and the community to ensure proper maintenance of the machineries.
DAR-Ifugao and TARFOI signed also a trust agreement and memorandum of agreement for collaborative efforts towards enhancing rice and corn productivity and uplift farmers’ living condition in the barangay.
Meanwhile, the DAR earlier turned over one unit mini rice mill, two units mini thresher, two units brush cutter, and two units rice grinder worth P280,200.00 to the Bongan Agrarian Reform Inc. in Mayoyao town. (MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
