TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte (PIA) — Provincial Governor Edwin I. Jubahib and the Province of Davao del Norte were accorded a grand slam recognition from the Sustainability Standards Inc (SSI) which organizes and bestows the Sustainable Builders and MosLiv Awards.
Information drawn from the Provincial Information Communication and Knowledge Management Office (PICKMO) revealed that this year’s Sustainable Builders and MosLiv award of Jubahib as “Governor of Year” is the third he has received from SSI.
Governor Jubahib got the plaque of recognition during the 7th Nation Builders and MosLiv awarding ceremony held at Okada, Manila on November 28 while also receiving a plaque for Davao del Norte as recognized as Most Sustainable and Liveable Province awardee under the same SSI awards.
SSI has been known for recognizing individuals, local chief executives, leaders in the government and private sector, and philanthropists in the non-government (NGO) sector for their exemplary contributions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals “for a climate-neutral society.”
Meanwhile, online published information regarding the recent 7th Nation Builders and MosLiv Awards ceremony listed the Davao del Norte State College as a recipient of a recognition as “Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable University in The Philippines”.
DNSC President Joy M. Sorrosa was also recognized as Honorary Most Empowered Woman of the Year by the Nation Builders Mosliv Awards.
On the other hand, the Government Service Insurance Corportion (GSIS) accorded Davao del Norte a Bronze Award during the GSIS Seal of Protection Awards ceremony on Nov. 28 held at the GSIS Gymnasium in Pasay City.
Governor Jubahib received the award in the ceremony that GSIS dubbed as “Pagpupugay sa mga Kaagapay ng GSIS,” to recognize LGUs which have installed reliable measures to ensure that government property are secured and protected. The Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) is among those recognized during this year’s 7th Sustainable Builders and MosLiv Awards organized and given by Sustainability Standards Inc. (SSI) during the ceremony held on November 28 at Okada, Manila.
DNSC is recognized as Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable University In The Philippines.
DNSC joins the ranks of Davao del Norte Provincial Governor Edwin I. Jubahib and the Province of Davao del Norte as Sustainable Builders and MosLiv awardees recognized by SSI for their exemplary contribution leading to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for a climate-neutral society.
