Davao Region gov’t media personnel receive TV broadcasting training

DAVAO CITY (PIA) – The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Davao Region recently conducted a comprehensive television broadcasting orientation briefing for personnel from various Presidential Communications Office (PCO) agencies based in the region.

The training, held at the Mindanao Media Hub in Bangkal, Davao City, featured sessions led by Vina Araneta, Anthony David Tigas and Engr. Clyde Allan Pudpud of People’s Television (PTV) News Mindanao. The experts provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of digital broadcasting.

The event aims to enhance the broadcasting capabilities of the agencies to meet television broadcast standards and ensure high-quality information dissemination. Representatives from Radyo Pilipinas, Philippine News Agency, PTV, and the Philippine Information Agency participated in the training.

This orientation aligns with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s commitment to upholding and protecting media rights, a promise he emphasized during the President’s Night organized by the Manila Overseas Press Club on October 5, 2022.

President Marcos highlighted the crucial role of the media in empowering citizens and improving access to information on critical national and community issues.

Rene Carbayas, Regional Head of PIA Region XI, expressed confidence that this training will standardize and elevate the broadcasting capabilities of all state-owned media in the region.

The training will ensure that broadcast materials meet the common standards set by People’s Television (PTV), enabling the production of high-quality broadcast information.

The successful orientation briefing for TV broadcast marks a significant step forward in the government’s efforts to modernize media operations and adapt to the demands of digital communication, paving the way for a more informed and engaged citizenry in the Davao Region. (REC/PIA Davao)
