DAVAO ORIENTAL (PIA) — Authorities on October 6 nabbed the number 2 in the list of provincial target drug personalities of Davao Oriental.
The target was identified as a Sheryl Magcantara, 34 years old and a resident of Purok Dahlia Proper, Barangay La Union in San Isidro town.
Magcantara was arrested at her house selling one sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P 1,000 to an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), who acted as a poseur buyer.
Aside from her, operatives also apprehended her live-in partner and cohort in the illegal drug activities identified as a certain Kenny Agua.
Seized during the operations were a total of around five grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P34,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust marked money.
Arrested individuals are now with the police for proper disposition and filing of cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MLU/PIA Davao Oriental/Photos from PDEA)
