BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) donated lumber to the Department of Education (DepEd) to assist in the rebuilding of school buildings damaged by recent typhoons in Nueva Vizcaya.

“This partnership highlights how we can responsibly manage and utilize our natural resources, ensuring that we meet the needs of today without compromising those of future generations,” Magat said.
The lumber donation will benefit several schools across the province, including Luclucos Integrated School in Kayapa, Almaguer North Elementary School in Bambang, Cesario M. Tubiera Elementary School, Darapidap Elementary School, and Aritao Central School in Aritao, as well as Kasibu Elementary School, Bua Elementary School, and Domang Elementary School in Kasibu.
Romulo Ancheta, chief Education Supervisor, expressed his gratitude and confidence in the positive impact of the collaboration.
“We are deeply thankful for this generous donation from the DENR. The lumber will play a crucial role in the reconstruction and expansion of our schools, particularly those severely affected by the typhoons in 2024, which caused significant damage to classrooms and other facilities.” Ancheta said.
The donated lumber will be used to rebuild and expand classrooms, ensuring a safer and more conducive learning environment for students in the affected areas. (OTB/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
