LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) –The Schools Division Office-Ifugao monitored the In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers and staff in the different public-school districts in the province that aims to continually develop, and enhance the competency of teaching and non-teaching personnel.
School Governance and Operations Division Chief Jacqueline Lunag led the monitoring of the week-long INSET which also targets to address the needs of teachers based on the Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) and to enhance their knowledge, skills and attitude in using the different models, strategies, and methods of instruction.
The team evaluated the progress of schools in the implementation of the educational programs, projects, and activities; and reviewed the performance of teachers and the school staff to address concerns through cooperative effort.
One of the activities conducted was the ‘Reskilling in Developing Instructional Materials Using Advance PowerPoint Presentation and Publisher’ to address the core needs of teachers on Computer or ICT Skills based on the 2022 IPDP.
Other topics include Making Innovation, Walkthrough on the Most Essential Learning Competencies, Visiting Project SHARE, Upskilling on Different Teaching Strategies, Strategies to Recover Learning Loss, and reviewing the Results-Based Performance Management System-Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (RPMS-PPST), among others.
Lunag encouraged the sch0ol personnel to continue the good work and be more patient in teaching the learners. (JDP/FBR-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
