CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 2 and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cabagan, Isabela recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed at fostering digital innovation to support local development.
The MOA was signed by DICT Regional Director Pinky Jimenez and Cabagan Mayor Christopher Mamauag during the town’s Pansit Festival.
As part of the agreement, the Digital Transformation Center was launched. This center will serve as the hub for digital transformation in the locality, providing resources for training, digital services, and advanced technologies.
DICT Regional Director Jimenez highlighted the significance of the center in bringing technology closer to the people of Isabela.
“It will offer programs to enhance digital literacy and provide access to modern tools that can drive local growth,” Jimenez said
Jimenez also assured local officials that DICT would continue to support LGUs with technical expertise in digital technologies and assist with future initiatives.
She said through the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB), DICT Region 2 remains dedicated to bridging the digital divide and promoting inclusive growth across the region.
The Digital Transformation Center is envisioned as a key resource for training programs, digital services, and access to cutting-edge technologies. It aims to empower individuals, businesses, and government offices in Cabagan to harness the full potential of the digital age. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
