DICT pushes for digital inclusion through free ICT services

DICT Cares Help Desk assists walk-in clients in their digital needs like  free printing, document scanning, SIM card registration, NBI online appointment, PNPKI Digital Signature application, and assistance with the eGov PH app installation. 

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay – Committed to bridging the digital divide, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Zamboanga Sibugay continues to provide free ICT services through its DICT Cares Help Desk, a weekly initiative designed to make technology more accessible to the public.

The Help Desk continue to assist clients, offering essential digital services such as free printing, document scanning, SIM card registration, and assistance with the eGov PH app. With the growing demand for online access, the initiative also provides free Wi-Fi, allowing students and researchers to complete schoolwork and academic projects without the burden of connectivity costs.

The program has gained significant traction, becoming a reliable resource for those with limited access to digital tools. Many students now rely on the Help Desk for their school-related tasks, while job seekers and individuals handling government transactions benefit from the available e-services.

“I invite all Sibugaynons to visit our office especially every Thursday, as we conduct the DICT Cares Help Desk. We provide free essential ICT services, including free printing, document scanning, SIM card registration, NBI online appointment, PNPKI Digital Signature application, and assistance with the eGov PH app installation. This initiative highlights the DICT’s commitment to its mission‘DICT of the people and for the people,” said DICT Provincial Officer Engr. Mark Ruelson B. Gacutan.

DICT Zamboanga Sibugay credits the growing awareness of this initiative to its partners— like the Philippine Information Agency and local media whose continuous support ensures that more communities can take advantage of these free digital solutions. Their efforts in spreading information have been instrumental in reaching a wider audience, encouraging more individuals to utilize the services.
