CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – Two major development projects were recently inaugurated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Jones, Isabela.
The projects include the P2 million farm-to-market road and P1.9 million solar street light projects funded under the Support to Barangay Development Project (SGLG-SBDP) and Seal of Good Local Governance-Incentive Project (SGLG-IF).
The road network in Barangay Minuri is one of the 15 farm-to-market road projects already implemented in the town. There was also one remote barangay that was now energized in the area.
Jones Vice Mayor Evelyn Raspado expressed her gratitude to the DILG for providing them with funds to implement SBDP projects including the support extended by different government agencies in the town.
She said the infrastructure projects are beneficial to the communities, especially since the town was once a lair of the rebel groups.
Raspado also said that, with the proper guidance of DILG officials, the different projects identified by LGU Jones were implemented smoothly.
Meanwhile, Jones Municipal Administrator Manuel Cabungcal Jr. lauded the support extended by different agencies for delivering their respective programs and projects, which supports the task force to end the local communist armed conflict. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
