DILG inaugurates two completed infra projects in Isabela

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2 inaugurated two infrastructure projects in Ramon, Isabela funded under the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance-Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) and 2023 Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (FALGU).

The projects were the establishment of solar streetlights in Barangay Nagbacalan comprising 50 units of streetlights in a 1-kilometer road, and the completion of the farm-to-market road in Barangay Oscariz that spans 365 meters along the Diversion Road. 

DILG Regional Director Agnes De Leon lauded the implementation of the quality of the completed projects, noting that they reflect the LGU’s adherence to standards and guidelines. 

“These completed projects are a testament to the LGU’s commitment to excellence for public delivery of services to your constituents,” De Leon said.

De Leon assured the continued support and the adoption of best practices to better serve the LGUs’ commitment to their constituents’ welfare.

Meanwhile, Ramon Mayor Jesus Laddaran expressed his gratitude to the DILG for their unwavering support and guidance in the implementation of projects under the SGLG-IF and FALGU.

He highlighted the challenges faced by the municipality, including drought and economic setbacks, and lauded the resilience of the community in continuing to pursue development projects despite the challenges.

“The LGU has been badly affected by drought and also suffered in its local economy, but we were able to continue to push through with your guidance,” Mayor Laddaran said. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
