KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato (PIA) — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) 12 hailed all local government units in Region 12 for passing the Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) standards and practices for 2022.
In a statement, DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa announced that all 53 local government units in the region were commended for their performances in terms of “financial transparency and fiscal accountability.”
“My warmest congratulations to all of our 53 local government units in Region XII which were declared Passers of Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) for CY 2022. It is a great honor to have achieved such, thanks to the perseverance and the tenacity of our field officers,” RD Leysa said.
The result is based on the review by the DILG’s Bureau of Local Government Supervision.
Pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2014-39, the GFH is conferred to an LGU that ‘exhibits compliance with accounting and auditing standards, rules and regulations.
To pass the GFH assessment, an LGU must have the following: (1) the most recent available Commission on Audit (COA) audit opinion is unqualified or qualified for calendar years (CY) 2019 or 2020; and (2) compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy – posting of all required financial documents in three conspicuous places and in the FDP portal for the second to fourth quarter of CY 2021 and in the first quarter of 2022.
