ZAMBOANGA CITY, Apr 21 (PIA) — Demonstrating commitment to providing support for the development of responsive referral system in the region, the Department of Health (DOH) Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development turns over eight (8) new and fully equipped ambulances to different Local Government units in region 9.
The recipient LGUs were Zamboanga del Sur: Rural Health Unit-Josefina and Zamboanga Del Norte: Rural Health Units in La Libertad, Mutia, Polanco, Baliguian Kalawit, Liloy and Sirawai.
In his speech, DOH-9 Regional Director Dr. Joshua Brillantes reiterates their commitment to provide support for the development of responsive referral system and Health Care Provider Network through the provision of health facilities, infrastructures, and land ambulances, in order to attain Universal Health Care for all Filipinos, particularly in Zamboanga Peninsula.
Meanwhile, Zamboanga City Mayor and concurrent Regional Development Council (RDC) Chairman Hon. John M. Dalipe lauded the health department for constantly enhancing facilities in ZamPen to better serve the constituents.
