DOH fetes Caloocan City Medical Center newborn screening program

MANILA, (PIA) — The Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) has been recognized by the Department of Health – Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) as an Outstanding Facility for its excellent implementation of the newborn screening program.

Dr. Fernando Santos, CCMC’s Medical Director, expressed his gratitude to the DOH for the recognition and to Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan for his continued support to the city-run hospital.

(First of all, we thank Mayor Along Malapitan because it has been his personal priority to develop all medical services in our city, as well as to the DOH for recognizing CCMC’s programs for the welfare of children.)

Mayor Along, for his part, acknowledged that the award received by the CCMC highlights the city government’s efforts to establish a health care system that is people-oriented, free, and accessible.

He likewise encouraged his constituents to avail of the services offered by the city-run hospitals and health centers to fully utilize the city’s programs.

(PIA-NCR)
