CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — A total of ₱2.4 million in livelihood assistance was provided by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to 82 residents of Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro.
This aid was through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), a program that offers livelihood assistance to qualified beneficiaries.
DOLE distributed materials for businesses such as wood furniture making, electronic repair, bike repair, vulcanizing, auto repair, tailoring, photography, frozen food, chicken and fish vending, meat processing, and eateries.
Several beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to DOLE for the assistance they received.

Richard Rotoni, a resident of Calapan City and a Person with Disability (PWD), lauded the efforts of DOLE, assuring the agency that the assistance given to him will be put to good use and that he will try his best that his chosen business will succeed.
DOLE Oriental Mindoro Provincial Director Roderick F. Tamacay also encouraged the recipients to strive to make their chosen businesses successful and progressive, so they can help improve their daily living.
It is expected that with the provided materials, the livelihood of the beneficiaries will improve which can help with their daily living needs. (JJGS/PIA MIMAROPA-Oriental Mindoro)
