DOLE Capiz distributes P11M for ‘Handog ng Pangulo’

ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) — About P11 million worth of assistance was distributed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Provincial Office during the nationwide distribution of comprehensive government assistance dubbed “Handog ng Pangulo Serbisyong Tapat Para sa Lahat” on Sept. 13 at the Provincial Capitol in Roxas City.

The payout for 1,172 beneficiaries for the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program got the biggest share, while the other amounts were intended for various livelihood projects for tricycle operators as well as drivers and farmers.

“I am thankful that I received a payout for TUPAD that I will buy for my child’s medicine,” said Christine Villar, a Brgy. Basiao of Ivisan town resident.
