MALITA, Davao Occidental (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Davao Occidental Field Office has celebrated and recognized the contributions and achievements of the Government Internship Program (GIP) interns in the province.
In a recent culmination activity, DOLE Davao Occidental senior labor and employment officer Regina Grace B. Jayagan expressed gratitude to the interns for their dedication and responsible work.
Guest speaker Marilou E. Borra of the provincial local government of Davao Occidental, shared an inspiring message on “Youth as Catalysts for Change in Governance,” encouraging the interns to take an active role in shaping the future of governance.
Former GIP interns Reymart Inantay from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of Davao Occidental and Anierose Teo from the Mariano Peralta National High School, also imparted their respective success stories.
The interns who were grouped into teams, shared from among themselves their experiences and personal growth throughout the internship program.
They also enjoyed interactive games, promoting social interaction and fostering camaraderie.
Jayagan, who represented DOLE Davao Occidental chief Engr. Reynold H. Salmite, also extended appreciation to the partner agencies for providing meaningful opportunities for the interns to gain valuable experience in public service. (CLC/PIA Davao/DOLE Davao Occidental)
