DOLE gives aid to vulnerable sectors, PDLs in Nueva Vizcaya

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has provided financial assistance to Persons With Disabilities, solo parents, and Persons Deprived of Liberty in Nueva Vizcaya to start their livelihood ventures.

DOLE Nueva Vizcaya Field Office Officer-in-Charge Menzie Valite said the eight PWDs, PDLs, and solo parents received P24,529 worth of livelihood packages for their baking services, food processing, snack and frozen food vending, and variety store with rice retailing through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program.

“By providing them with the needed livelihood assistance, we are empowering them as self-employed individuals who are contributing to our local economy and helping their families,” she said.

Valite expressed optimism that their dedication and commitment will enable them to succeed in their business endeavors.

John Ray  Garcia, a former PDL and beneficiary of DILP thanked the DOLE for the assistance.

 “We are thankful for this assistance. Rest assured that we will use it properly and wisely to maximize its benefits,” he said. (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
