MANILA, (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in collaboration with key government agencies and private sector organizations, is hosting the “Trabaho Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas” job fair today at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Led by the Office of the President, the event includes participation from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Agriculture (DA), DOLE, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the City Government of Manila’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
The job fair aims to offer thousands of employment opportunities and free skills training programs to jobseekers.
The event will feature at least 6,400 job vacancies from 94 confirmed employers across various industries, including business process outsourcing (BPO), wholesale and retail trade, transport and logistics, construction, and tourism.
The most sought-after positions include customer service representatives, sales personnel, cashiers, drivers, delivery helpers, service crews, baggers, and factory workers.
In addition to job opportunities, attendees can take advantage of TESDA-led free training and skills demonstrations in areas such as mechatronics, robotics, barista training, and bread making, all designed to enhance employability.
A One-Stop-Shop Pre-employment and Advisory Services will be available at the event, featuring key government agencies such as BIR, NBI, SSS, Pag-ibig, PhilHealth, DTI, PSA, and OWWA, among others.
DOLE will also provide career development and support services, including free legal assistance, a first aid station, and a helpdesk for the Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP).
Moreover, the DOLE will distribute NegoKart livelihood assistance packages worth P5.4 million to pre-selected beneficiaries from the Intramuros Administration and conduct an orientation on the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program for 1,000 fire victims from Isla Puting Bato, Tondo, Manila.
Another highlight of the event is the Kadiwa ng Pangulo outlet, created through the collaborative efforts of DA, DOLE, and DTI. This initiative will provide basic commodities and agricultural products at affordable prices, ensuring public access to essential goods at lower costs.
