CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA)—The Department of Labor and Employment Region 2 (DOLE 2) said the multi-sectoral dialogue on Freedom of Association reflects shared commitments to strengthen cooperation, resolve conflicts, and create meaningful solutions.
In his message during the recent multi-sectoral dialogue for the provinces of Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino held in Santiago City, Regional Director Jesus Elpidio B. Atal Jr. urged the labor and employers’ groups to put into practice the said principles to attain an inclusive, just, and progressive labor sector.
The DOLE regional director also said one of the event’s important highlights is the opportunity to hear the perspectives of both employers and employee groups, which can foster a genuine understanding of each sector’s challenges, aspirations, and contributions.
“Our goal is to seek solutions anchored on the principles of unity, respect, and mutual development,” Atal said.
He further said the dialogue seeks to examine the tripartite roadmap of freedom of association as well as the omnibus guidelines of freedom of association and civil liberties which provide valuable guidance in strengthening the protection of workers’ rights while balancing the interest of all parties, workers, employers and government.
“To our employers, I encourage you to view this dialogue as an opportunity to build trust and cooperation with your workforce, to our workers, I urge you to use your voice constructively promoting not only your rights but also the welfare of the greater workplace community, and to all stakeholders let us remain steadfast in our commitment to advancing to inclusive and sustainable labor relations.
