QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is set to host a job fair aimed at supporting workers impacted by the recent cessation of Internet Gaming Licensees (IGL) or Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) operations.
The event will take place on November 19-20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the SM MOA Music Hall in Pasay City.

According to the preliminary report from DOLE’s National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), nearly 3,000 job vacancies will be available at the fair.
A total of 16 local employers will participate, offering a diverse array of positions, including sales consultants, cashiers, receptionists, encoders, drivers, delivery helpers, and service crew members.
The job fair is organized in collaboration with several partners, including the City Government of Pasay’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO), SM Mall of Asia, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
In addition to job opportunities, DOLE will provide one-stop-shop services to assist jobseekers with their pre-employment documentation. Participating agencies include the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Social Security System (SSS), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and Philippine Postal Corporation (PHILPOST).
Jobseekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and other necessary pre-employment documents.
