DOLORES, Abra (PIA) – Youth from ten elementary schools in the municipality of Dolores, showcased gracefulness and talent during the 2025 Dolores Town Fiesta TikTok Schools challenge.
The local government unit (LGU) shared that engaging the youth during town festivals is a way to show the importance and the role of the children in the community and in nation-building.
“This event aims to provide a platform for their creativity, teamwork, and passion for the arts. We believe it is crucial to nurture their talents and provide them opportunities to shine,” the LGU stated.
During the competition, participants danced-off in colorful costumes showcasing technique, coordination, and creativity.
Mudiit Elementary School grooved their way to the top, followed by the Dolores Central School in second place, and Kimmalaba Elementary School in third spot.
The champions took home P15,000 while the second and third placers got P10,000 and P7,000, respectively.
This year’s TikTok Schools Challenge is part of the week-long Dolores town fiesta with the theme “Panagkaykaysa ken Panagdidinanggay, Gubuayan biag a natalinaay, Progreso intay Ipaay.”
Other activities during the celebration are the farmers’ day, barangay night, agri-trade fair, motor show, and sports competition, among others. (JJMT, PIA-CAR, Abra)
