CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-10 met with Assistant Vice Presidents (AVPs) and Branch Managers from the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) in northern Mindanao on May 6 to improve coordination and address challenges in implementing the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP).
The meeting focused on issues related to account tagging and untagging for DOST and SETUP beneficiaries.
DOST provincial directors and SETUP coordinators also raised concerns directly with LBP managers, who provided clarifications and solutions.
AVP Ligaya Padilla, representing the LBP team, reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting the SETUP program as part of its efforts to contribute to the welfare of Filipinos.
DOST Regional Director Romela N. Ratilla thanked LBP for its positive response and emphasized the importance of streamlining procedures and improving communication between the two agencies.
SETUP is a DOST program aimed at supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing access to technology, consultancy, training, and laboratory services to improve productivity and competitiveness.
Entrepreneurs in northern Mindanao are encouraged to take advantage of SETUP to enhance their operations and product competitiveness. ‘
