Gender awareness discussions also took center stage, educating residents about Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and reinforcing the importance of equality and respect.

Health and wellness were also prioritized, with 59 individuals receiving vitamins, while a feeding program benefited 111 children aged 6 to 10. Moreover, 70 male residents availed of free haircuts, further enhancing the outreach’s impact on the community’s overall well-being.
DOST IX’s PAGLAMBO Project continues to bridge gaps in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, providing essential services that drive local development. With active participation from partner organizations, including the Saru Women’s Association, Talaga Elementary School, and TESDA IX, the initiative demonstrated how collaboration can lead to a more empowered and self-sufficient community.
