DOST, TIP to inaugurate Quantum and Intelligent Systems Laboratory

MANILA, (PIA) — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) invite stakeholders and the public to the Grand Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Ceremonial Signing and Inauguration of the Quantum and Intelligent Systems Laboratory for Power Engineering (QISLaP) and the TechnoCore Catalyst Office.

The event will take place on Friday, March 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the 6th Floor Anniversary Hall, T.I.P. Manila – Arlegui.

As the heat index rises this March, the event underscores the pressing need to address challenges related to energy usage and supply efficiency.

The Quantum Research for Industrial Energy Technology (Q-RIEnTe) project aims to tackle these issues by establishing QISLaP, the first research laboratory in the Philippines dedicated to utilizing quantum computing for enhancing energy reliability and efficiency.

Supported by the DOST-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), QISLaP represents a significant step forward in the country’s energy research landscape.

The laboratory will focus on innovative solutions in quantum computing, power systems, and energy applications.

The inauguration will bring together essential partners, stakeholders, and distinguished visitors to collectively promote research and development in these critical areas.

The unveiling of QISLaP symbolizes a unified commitment to fostering a center of excellence dedicated to information dissemination and groundbreaking innovation in energy technology. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
