QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista and Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara have met to explore collaboration opportunities aimed at enhancing transit-oriented development in support of DepEd’s mission.
The meeting, which included representatives from the Public-Private Partnership Center (PPC), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Government of the United Kingdom, focused on improving access to railway stations and adjacent urban areas to benefit students.
Both secretaries expressed their commitment to work together to create a more seamless, efficient, and comfortable commuting experience for students.
“By enhancing connectivity to our railway systems, we can significantly improve the daily travel of students,” Bautista said.
