NAVAL, Biliran, –The Department of Public Works and Highways – Biliran District Engineering Office (DPWH-BDEO) recently completed another phase of the Caraycaray-Cabungaan-Libtong road connectivity amounting to P40 million under Fiscal Year 2023 funding.
The concreting of 0.95-kilometer road project with drainage features is in convergence with the Department of Trade and Industry.
The multi-year road project which started its implementation in 2018 has already paved a total of 6.5915 kilometers with a total allocation of P185 million.
OIC-District Engineer Alfredo Bollido informed that another phase of the Caraycaray-Cabungaan-Libtong road project is ongoing under FY 2022 and under implementation of DPWH Regional Office 8. The project has a total length of 2.475 kilometers with a total allocation of P76.7 million.
Engr. Rosario B. Rosete, chief of Planning and Design Section, also informed that another P80 milliom from FY 2024-2026 is proposed to be allocated for the continuation of the Caraycaray-Cabungaan-Libtong road project with a total projected length of 2 kilometers.
The completion of these interconnected projects will soon link the Caraycaray-Cabungaan-Libtong road system to the National Road Junction (NRJ) of Brgy. Villa Consuelo-Brgy. Libtong road section along Naval-Caibiran Cross Country Road (NCCCR) providing an easier, faster, and convenient transport of people and agricultural products for trade and industry (RSV/CQS/PJL)
