BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a daycare center building in Dinalupihan, Bataan.
The 78-square meter center, located in Barangay JC Payumo, is part of a broader program aimed at enhancing basic infrastructure and supporting social services in the community.
Bataan 3rd District Representative Maria Angela Garcia emphasized that reliable infrastructure is crucial for accommodating the basic needs of students and providing dependable care for local families.
DPWH Bataan 3rd District Engineer Maribel Navarro highlighted that the project’s goal is to offer a safe and nurturing space for child care services, addressing both the social and educational needs of day care pupils in the village.
“In addition to providing a spacious and conducive learning area, the building includes a kitchen, comfort rooms, an access ramp, and both indoor and outdoor wash areas to meet all our children’s needs,” she noted.
Parents and teachers have expressed their heartfelt gratitude and strong support for the project, recognizing the significant positive impact the new facility will have on the community.
Funded by P3.96 million from the 2024 General Appropriations Act, the building underscores the government’s commitment to quality education, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment while contributing to the overall development and growth of children. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bataan)
