The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA), has completed the concrete paving of the Barangay Tanato farm-to-market road (FMR) in Balanga City.
Implemented by the DPWH – Bataan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO), the newly completed 924.5-lineal-meter, five-meter-wide road enhances rural accessibility, improving the movement of people and agricultural products.
In a statement, OIC-District Engineer Roland Rainier Victorino underscored the project’s role in reducing travel time and supporting agricultural productivity.
“This road enables farmers to transport their crops and livestock more efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to markets while also improving access to production areas and essential farm services,” Victorino said.
Meanwhile, Project Engineer Mabel Olano confirmed that the project was completed with a P13.6 million budget, contributing to local economic growth and livelihood opportunities.#
