BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed two infrastructures in San Luis town in the province of Aurora.
These include the concreting of a local road and a new covered court for schoolchildren.
DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal disclosed that a total of P15.68 million was allocated in the 2023 national budget for the construction of a 2.062-lane kilometer road with slope protection at barangay L. Pimentel and a 600-square meter multipurpose facility at San Isidro Elementary School in barangay San Isidro.
“These recently completed projects were designed to address the infrastructure needs of these communities, thereby enhancing the quality of life for both farmers and students,” Andal explained.
The concreted road, which cost P9.31 million, now provides farmers with improved and convenient access for transporting their goods, resulting in reduced operational costs.
Additionally, the P6.37 million covered court project was constructed to offer students a conducive space for learning and school-related activities.
Construction of both projects began in March of this year and was completed as scheduled. (CLJD-PIA 3)
