CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a multipurpose covered court in General Mamerto Natividad, Nueva Ecija.
The 448-square meter infrastructure located in barangay Talabutab Sur was implemented by Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office.
District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said the facility provides residents with a safe, comfortable, and functional space for sports and other events.
The multipurpose covered court can also serve as an evacuation center for the village and nearby areas during emergencies and calamities.
“This is a milestone in the community’s social development,” he added.
The agency allocated P4.8 million for the project as part of its Basic Infrastructure Program funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
