DPWH completes P10-M multipurpose building in Nueva Vizcaya

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a P10 million multi-purpose building, which expanded the municipal hall of the town of Kayapa in Nueva Vizcaya.

District Engineer Agnes Lu said the project included the installation of roofing for the fourth and fifth floors, a new roof deck, ceiling enhancements, and painting works.

She said the project also involved the repair of existing sanitary and water lines, along with the installation of an electric-powered elevator.

“Beyond improving operational efficiency, the completion of the Kayapa Municipal Hall stands as a testament to our commitment to progress. It symbolizes the growth of local governance and community development, fostering greater engagement between the government and its stakeholders, particularly the residents,” said Lu.

The project, which was completed in November of last year, is part of the Basic Infrastructure Program and was funded through the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

With the completion of this multi-purpose building, the residents of Kayapa are expected to benefit from better services and a more streamlined government experience, further promoting the town’s development. (OTB/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
