TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a preventive maintenance project along the Pinili-Porais-Villa Joson segment of the San Jose City-Rizal Road.
It was implemented by the DPWH Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineering Office.
OIC-District Engineer Osias Santos said the project includes a 0.856 lane-kilometer asphalt overlay of the secondary road, “The goal of the project is to ensure smooth and safe travel for motorists, particularly for local regular road users,” he explained.
“The completion of the asphalt overlay project will effectively prevent pavement deterioration and will enhance the overall travel experience for all road users,” Santos added.
The road improvement project was funded by a budget of P4.8 million allocated under the 2023 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
