CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) concreted a section of a two-lane local road in General Mamerto Natividad, Nueva Ecija.
The 0.548-kilometer section located in barangay Panacsac was implemented by Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office.
District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said the project is part of DPWH’s efforts to improve local roads and address the mobility needs of farmers.
“We are continuously improving the condition of our local roads, especially in rural barangays, to benefit our farmers and local residents,” Trinidad added.
Panacsac Punong Barangay Abelardo Jose expressed gratitude to DPWH for the rehabilitation of their road.
“Dati po, talagang ni-kariton ay hirap pong makapasok dito. Talagang hirap na hirap po yung mga magsasaka. Ngayon, pag labas po namin ng Barangay Panacsac ay Talabutab Norte na kaagad, hindi po kagaya noon na dadaan ka pa ng isang barangay at napaka bilis po ngayon at kapaki-pakinabang po talaga itong kalsadang ito,” he shared.
The agency earmarked P4.8 million for the project under the 2023 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
