SYUDAD SANG ILOILO (PIA) — Naghatag sang updates ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 6 kaangot sa mga dalagko nga mga proyekto sini sa Western Visayas.
Sa isa ka press conference sang Septyembre 28, ginpakigbahin ni DPWH 6 Regional Director Sanny Boy Oropel ang padayon nga rectification works sa Ungka Flyover kag amo man sa Aganan Flyover, lakip na ang update sa Panay-Guimaras-Negros Bridge (PGN).
Kaupod niya si anay Senate President Franklin M. Drilon sa nasambit nga press conference.
Gin-anunsyar ni Oropel nga ang Ungka Flyover magabukas na sa full capacity traffic sa palaabuton nga Disyembre 25 sini nga tuig.
“The railings with lightings have a very minimal cost as this is only aluminum cladding to be attached to the existing railings. We will be providing some light effects to guide the commuters,” siling ni Oropel.
Dugang niya pa, ang ini nga feature isa sa mga butang nga ginakonsiderar sang DPWH para sa pag-improbar sang estruktura.
“In one way or another, we are not only improving the Ungka flyover into a conventional type, but we are also offering something that is new to us,” suno kay Oropel.
Subong man, ang may P802 ka milyon nga Aganan Flyover igapaidalom man sa rectification pagkatapos nga mahiwat ang geotechnical studies sang third-party consultant, Abinales Associates Engineers + Consultants sa katapusan sining tuig.
“We are asking for the indulgence of the third-party consultant that we have given the notice to proceed already to complete the study by December 2024 so that we could begin rectification activities in the first quarter of 2025. This will be finished by the third quarter of 2025, by September, for full capacity traffic,” siling ni Oropel.
Base sa report sang DPWH, ang available budget sang Aganan Flyover subong yara sa P308, 732,618.11 kag ang additional nga P210 milyon ang tinutuyo naman para sa iya sini nga rectification works.
Para naman sa proyekto nga Panay- Guimaras-Negros (PGN) Bridge, ang Detailed Engineering Design (DED) sini tubtob sang Sept. 28, 2024 yara sa 54.73 porsyento nga actual accomplishment gikan sa plano nga 62.93 porsyento nga accomplishment.
Ang DED para sa Section A (Panay-Guimaras) gina-ekspektar nga matapos sa Disyembre 2024 kag ang DED para naman sa Section B (Guimaras-Negros Occidental) ginatan-aw nga makumpleto sa Disyembre 2025.
Ang PGN nga proyekto gina-ekspektar nga mag-umpisa sa ikaduha nga semestre sang 2025 kag matapos sa Hunyo 2028.
Bangud diri, ginsambit ni Drilon ang dako nga benepisyo sang PGN sa mga tawo ilabi na sa pagpa-uswag sang industriya sang turismo.
“The safety of our people is our primary concern, and also, the benefit to the three islands would be such that these projects will go down to the better livelihood of people. What is important here is that available to both Negros and Panay will be the resorts and beaches in Guimaras. The principal attraction is the beach.
