DPWH-NCR activates ‘Lakbay Alalay’ to assist motorists this Holy Week

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) activated the ‘Lakbay Alalay’ motorists assistance stations.

DPWH-NCR Regional Director Loreta M. Malaluan emphasized the relevance of ‘Lakbay Alalay’ as an initiative of the DPWH in ensuring a quality, safe, and reliable road experience for the public during the observance of the Holy Week.

Nine ‘Lakbay Alalay’ stations are located across Metro Manila starting April 16 to 19, to assist motorists this Holy Week:

  • McArthur Highway, Marulas, Valenzuela City
  • C-4 Road, Bagumbayan North, Navotas City
  • H. Lacson Ave. cor España Blvd., Sampaloc, Manila
  • Bonifacio Drive (Southbound), Port Area, Manila
  • SM Sucat (in front, under C-5 Road extension flyover)
  • Commonwealth Ave. cor San Simon St, Quezon City
  • 790 EDSA Diliman, Quezon City (fronting DPWH Region IV-B)
  • Marcos Highway Eastbound, Pasig City (under pedestrian footbridge, cor. A. Rodriguez Ave.)
  • Alabang Viaduct (behind Petron gasoline station)

Prior to Holy Week, the nine District Engineering Offices (DEOs) ensured that proper road signages, were visible, and installed in clear safe sight distance of all ongoing construction projects, and roads are well-maintained, and free from obstructions.

DPWH-NCR advises the public to take caution, and seek the assistance of the stationed motorists assistance teams in their areas, when the need arises.
