DPWH NCR completes infra buildings for PNP

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Good news! The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) and Quezon City 2nd District Engineering Office (QC2nd DEO) inaugurated buildings for the Philippine National Police (PNP).

DPWH-NCR Regional Director Loreta M. Malaluan and PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, and other officials joined in the inauguration at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

In his message, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan promised to build more efficient infrastructure facilities responsive to the needs of the police force under the Tatag ng Imprastruktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad or TIKAS program.

First constructed in 1974, the Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) Building had only undergone minimal repairs to accommodate the growing number of clients, and maintain effective administrative operations.

With the newly renovated building, the FEO will now be able to serve more clients with its modernized work areas, and ultimately help optimize its FEO Data Server that provides firearms and explosive licenses across the Philippines.

The DPWH ensures that the newly constructed five-storey Police Commissioned Officer’s building will provide comfortable living quarters for police officers, serving as their home away from home. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
