DPWH-NCR unveils modernized 3-storey barracks for female soldiers

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) unveiled a 3-storey barracks for female soldiers of the Civil Relations Service – Armed Forces of the Philippines at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

A home away from home for the Civil Relations Service – Armed Forces of the Philippines,” said General Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. during the inauguration of the modernized barracks.

According to DPWH-NCR, the project encompasses a building line dimension of 30.00 meters in length, and 18.00 meters width, and a total floor area of 1,620.00 square meters.

The new facility will provide female uniformed personnel with a comfortable, and secure space as they carryout their duties inside the AFP headquarters.

Likewise, DPWH Assistant Secretary Nerie D. Bueno underscored the importance of empowering future civil-military operators by elevating infrastructure capabilities, reflecting the shared dedication to modernizing military facilities.

The building named after the late Brigadier General Jose M. Crisol, is designed to provide an expanded office, and workspace for the officials, and personnel of the CRS, which creates a conducive environment that enhances its operational efficiency.

The initiative has grown into a symbol of partnership, and commitment under the TIKAS program of the DPWH, as well as the Department of National Defense. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
