DPWH upgrades Veterans Village brgy. hall; brings services closer to constituents

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Bringing services closer to residents of Veterans Village in Quezon, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Quezon City 1st District Engineering Office has completed the upgrade of the barangay hall building offering a more efficient, and accessible space for its constituents.

The 1,680 square meters with a total floor area of 864 square meters, houses on the ground floor a conference area for the senior citizens group, complete with a PWD ramp for improved accessibility.

The second floor is dedicated to the Sangguniang Kabataan office, while the third floor serves as a function hall for barangay events. Additionally, the upgraded building includes storage rooms and accessible comfort rooms for both persons with disabilities (PWDs), and senior citizens.

With the newly upgraded facility, the DPWH-NCR is committed to improving civic spaces, and providing inclusive services.

Likewise, the project improves the barangay’s administrative functions, public programs, and events. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
