QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — People who need help buying medicines can now use guarantee letters (GL) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at select pharmacies in the Philippines.
A DSWD guarantee letter is a document that ensures the cost of medicines or services will be covered for the person in need.
“Under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, the DSWD has been engaging with selected pharmacies to help poor clients to purchase their medicine needs through the DSWD-issued GLs,” said DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao.
