The Department invited selected local government and barangay officials of Pateros to provide an overview of the i-Registro DSR pilot testing in the municipality.

This collaboration between the DSWD and the LGU aims to test the performance of DSR for Pregnant and Lactating Moms (PLMs) in Pateros through advocating self-registration and the establishment of kiosks with a web portal for registration as a contingency plan, which can also be accessed through smartphones.

Director Schuck said the orientation is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the integrated delivery of social protection programs and services in the DSWD, through an effective and efficient exchange of updated information on households, including demographic and migration data.

The i-Registro is an innovative information management system that facilitates the integrated delivery of social protection programs and services in the DSWD.

It aims to improve the exchange of updated information on program beneficiaries, ensuring that social welfare and development initiatives reach the intended recipients.

ARD Barbosa, for his part said, the collaboration between the DSWD and the Local Government of Pateros is a testament to their agency’s commitment to working closely with their partners to better serve the needs of their constituents.

The orientation provided an opportunity for the DSWD and Pateros LGU to align their efforts in implementing the DSR pilot testing, which will serve as a model for other LGUs to follow.

Director Schuck also extended their gratitude to the Local Government of Pateros for their continued support and cooperation in DSWD-initiated activities towards strengthening the delivery of social protection services and improve the lives of Filipinos.

The successful implementation of the i-Registro DSR pilot in Pateros will pave the way for its wider adoption across the country, further enhancing the DSWD’s ability to effectively and efficiently reach those in need of social welfare and development assistance. (GLG/PIA-NCR)
