DTI establishes 11th Negosyo Center in Abra

DOLORES, Abra(PIA) –Eleven  Negosyo Centers (NC) are now serving communities across the province, with the recent launching of the another Negosyo Center  in Dolores town.

The inauguration ceremony of the Dolores Negosyo Center located at the Annex Building of Dolores Town Hall was  led by Mayor Conde Turqueza, Department of Trade and Industry-Abra Provincial Director Marvin Arcangel,  and Sangguniang Bayan Chairperson for Trade Robert Ardaniel.

The opening of the NC here has made business transactions and services readily available and accessible to residents.

Arcangel said the center will serve as a satellite office of the DTI that will bring business advisory, business registration assistance, and business information and advocacy services for local entrepreneurs and the community as a whole.

“Through this Negosyo Center, we see the commitment of our government to uplift and empower our local entrepreneurs and aiding them to thrive and succeed,” Arcangel said.

DTI Senior Trade and Industry Specialist Rodel Bolante said the  Center will be manned by a business councilor who will be assigned by the LGU.

“Our counterpart is to capacitate on the services and operations of the Negosyo Center,” he said.

The establishment of Negosyo Centers  is provided under the Republic Act No. 10644 or the Go Negosyo Act.  It “shall be responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for MSMEs within its jurisdiction.”

The mayor thanked the DTI for bringing the Negosyo Center that will help  the people of Dolores improve their economy towards continuous development.

Two more Negosyo Centers are scheduled to be launched this month – in Tineg on May 27, and in Sal-lapadan on May 29, 2024. (JDP/CAGT – PIA CAR, Abra)
